Image 6- burial daggers

During the first excavation, five gold burial masks, gold diadems, carved rings, a lion and bull rhyton, bronze swords and daggers, an ivory sculpture, and fragments of frescoes were uncovered. During recent excavations a long walkway was uncovered that could be connected to a gate, 2 buildings and a few other features. Post Mycenaean findings were also uncovered. There was a pottery/ivory shop found and a multi-room house with three infant burials under the floor. Also found was a 9th century grave containing a woman’s body with funerary meal remains, an iron pin and ring, and five clay vases.
